Explore the world without leaving your couch

If you're anything like us, you're patiently waiting at home for the pandemic to end, but you're also constantly watching flight prices just in case something peaks your interest. While waiting to travel can be difficult for those filled with wanderlust, the opportunity to explore new places isn't completely gone. To scratch all those travel bug bites, Amazon has introduced Amazon Explore, which provides interactive travel experiences for U.S. customers from the comfort of their homes.

You can choose from several categories that include 250 experiences from 20 geographical locations. Once you select your destination, the session will take you to your selected city and will connect you to local hosts where you can exchange real-time conversation (one way video and two-way audio). You'll be able to walk through the city of your choosing, getting a real-time view of the city as well as the ability to shop locally. Your host can enter any store you'd like and do the shopping for you - whether it's showing you the items, chatting with the store owner, or even getting their personal opinion on something that catches your eye. The best part? You can purchase the item right then and there and receive it at your home later on. And it's not limited to items only available on Amazon!

Ready to take a trip? These experiences start at $10. You can choose from unique experiences like visiting a Toucan Rescue Ranch in Costa Rica, taking a stroll through Prague, an empanada cooking demonstration in Argentina, or shopping in the Higashiyama neighborhood. Bon voyage!

New ways to explore

While in-person country and city exploration may not be an option right now, there are many ways you can satisfy your need to explore. You could try out a new food, wine, or tea, take online virtual tours, or even learn a new language. Have you been able to satisfy your travel urges during these times? Are you already planning where you will go first when restrictions are lifted? Do you think travel will forever be changed? We'd love to hear from you!
